Dr. P.H.D. Kusumawathie- Senior Research Scientist

Dr. P.H.D. Kusumawathie is serving a Senior Research Scientist at TCG. She retired in 2016 as the Regional Malaria Officer covering Kandy and Nuwara Eliya Districts while also occasionally looking after Matale District. She works on entomological surveillance of dengue while being seconded to the National Dengue Control Program. She has worked for three decades in monitoring and control of infectious diseases and has maintained an active research program.

She has obtained her B.Sc in Zoology with honors from the University of Peradeniya and her M.S and Ph.D. from the same University in Parasitology and Epidemiology. She also has received a Masters in Health Economics from Chulangakon University in Thailand.

Dr. Ranmalee Bandara

Ranmalee Bandara obtained a B.Sc in Surveying at the University of Sabaragamuwa, Sri Lanka in 2005 with first class honors and an M.Sc in Environmental Soil Science from the University of Peradeniya in 2008. Obtained her PhD Civil Engineering in 2014.She had supported the work on the project on rainwater harvesting.

Mr. Muhulis Sadardeen

Administrative Officer. Mr. Sadardeen has over 25 years of administrative, establishment and financial management experience in Sri Lanka (Matale, Kandy and Colombo) and in Qatar (Doha). He is from Matale and enjoys contributing his expertise to helping organizations navigate various challenges.

Dr. (Mrs). N. K. U. S. Premasiri

Dr (Mrs) Premasiri hails from Talatuoya, Kandy. She had her secondary schooling at Mahamaya Girls’ College, Kandy and received her Tertiary education as Physician of General Medicine (Specialist Honored)at Kursk State Medical University, Kursk of the Russian Federation). She is also the recipient of the Bronze medal in the Biology Olympiad 2009. She has submitted reports on ‘Evaluation of efficacy and safety of Ticagrelor (Brilinta) and Clopidogrel (Plavix and Zyllt) in the patients with non ST-elevation Acute Coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS) and ‘Connection of Polymorphism in development of Chronic Pancreatitis’. Her research interests are in Climate and related infectious diseases.

Dr (Mr). S.J.E.Sandanayake

Dr Sandanayke hails from Morontuduwnona, South of Colombo After his secondary education at Royal College Colombo he received his Tertiary education as a Physician of General Medicine from Kursk State Medical University, Kursk of the Russian Federation. His research interest extends to Climate, Disaster and Health. He is Computer literate and also is proficient in the English, Sinhala and Russian languages.
